Downtown Nashville’s July 4th Celebration
Every July 4th, downtown Nashville comes alive with one of the most spectacular Independence Day celebrations in the country. Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th features world-class live music, family-friendly festivities, and a showstopping fireworks display that lights up the skyline—and the 2025 celebration is no exception.
The entire event is open to the public, with no admission fee. Locals and visitors gather from all over to celebrate together in the heart of Music City.
Live Music on a Grand Stage
The main stage on Lower Broadway hosts an exciting lineup of performances—from rising stars to household names in country and pop. The Nashville Symphony also delivers a powerful live score during the fireworks. Performers will include the Nashville Symphony, Dierks Bentley, Russell Dickerson, Niko Moon, Grace Bowers, Keesha Rainey, DJ Dave Aude, Walker Montgomery, The Nashville Soul Experience, Charlie Worsham, KIRWAN the band, Les Kerr and The Bayou Band and DJ Rod Youree.
Massive Fireworks & Drone Show
The fireworks show is one of the largest in the nation, and it includes a dazzling drone display synchronized to music. Over 400 drones fly in formation above the city, choreographed alongside 24 minutes of fireworks bursting over the Cumberland River.

The best spots to catch the show include:
Lower Broadway
Ascend Amphitheater
Riverfront Park
The Green at Riverfront Park
Public Square Park
Music City Walk of Fame Park
Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge
Gay Street Connector
Large video screens and audio are placed throughout downtown to make sure everyone can enjoy the show—no matter where they stand.
Tips for Attending
Arrive Early
The streets fill quickly, especially near Lower Broadway. Getting there in the late afternoon gives you time to enjoy live music, food vendors, and the atmosphere before the big show starts.
Consider Rooftop Reservations
Several local spots offer rooftop experiences with food, drinks, and prime firework views. These tend to sell out early, so plan ahead if you want a more elevated experience—literally.
Nashville doesn’t just celebrate the Fourth of July—it makes it an experience. Between the music, the skyline, the community, and the dramatic display over the river, there’s truly nothing like it.
Even after the last firework fades, the energy downtown lingers. It’s a celebration that captures everything we love about summer in Music City.
